(My Epic Weekend)
drove up to calgary late friday afternoon for
the long, hot weekend. i was under the influence
for the greater part of the weekend and if you don't
find any of this to be rad, then you probably had to be
there to experience it.
- got fairly drunk and went to the marquee where
i ran into lots of old buddies and more alcohol.
- bought a bunch of cupcakes from buttermilk (like 'crave'
or 'cupcakes' but waaay better) and dropped some off at
chrome and gravity pope.
- met up with jon for lunch and went to delux diner. it was
nice catching up with the fella.
- spent a fair amount of time in emily and phillips apartment
watching the food network and admiring their glass dinosaur
pipe (super neat!).
- went to todds house for some good old porch drinking with kris.
this is when i realized i lost my debit card and would now be
broke for the rest of the long weekend. it harshed my vibes.
noah and julia came over with the best hummus and sangria!
- had the funniest/most awkward cabby ever!
- will quote matt on yelling 'they're sky diving in the
stratosphere' forever - and also being the only one
that knew what the stratosphere was to explain it.
- drove up to canmore for a hike. we ended up just going to
the skate park and then getting pizza. harsh bails on rails
happened at the skate park. there were some little bro's
that were really good though. we drove around looking for
fireworks but every place was closed. huge bummer.
- we then got our friend stonned for the first time in years.
i told her to take 'safe tokes' but she went overboard and
ended up having to sit in the bedroom by herself. it was
pretty awesome.
- had the best breakfast of my life at coras'.
- went to the dog park and was really scared of all the huge
dogs running around being super stoked and jumping into
the river. harly (the best italian greyhound ever!) is really
popular there with the other dogs.
- got my hair cut. its really short. phil gave me an agyness
dean cut - cept i dont look hot, and more like gi jane.
oh well, its not like there's any dudes here to impress.
im thinking about maybe coloring it and trying to boost
my (lower than shit) self esteem for the summer.
glad i got away for the weekend!
harly and i are best buds now!
